Mentor responsibilities

    • Ensure communications are respectful, courteous, and free from discriminatory or inappropriate language.
  2. Confidentiality and trust:
    • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all mentees’ information.
    • Avoid disclosing any personal or sensitive information without explicit consent.
  3. Commitment to mentorship:
    • Keep your mentor profile updated and manage your availability accurately to reflect your commitment.
    • Engage with mentees in a timely and responsible manner, ensuring that you are fully present during mentoring sessions.
  4. Brand ambassadorship:
    • Represent QudwaTech positively, both within and outside the platform.
    • Encourage others to engage with QudwaTech and share your experiences to help grow the community.

Engaging with Mentees

  1. Availability management:
    • Manage your availability according to your actual capacity to ensure you are providing valuable and attentive mentorship.
    • Adjust your mentoring hours according to your schedule to prevent overcommitment.
  2. Active engagement:
    • Respond to messages and session requests promptly.
    • If you must decline a session, provide a courteous message explaining your reasons.
  3. Session preparedness:
    • Prepare for each session, tailoring your approach to meet the specific needs and goals of your mentee.
    • Encourage active learning by asking questions and involving mentees in the discussion to help them develop their own solutions.

Ethical and respectful conduct

  1. Respectful interaction:
    • Treat all mentees with respect, regardless of their level of expertise or background.
    • Approach every question and interaction with patience and understanding.
  2. Ethical behavior:
    • Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
    • Avoid any actions that could be perceived as a conflict of interest.

Attendance and cancellation policy

  1. Rescheduling and cancellations:
    • Take your commitments seriously and avoid last-minute cancellations. If a reschedule is necessary, communicate this to your mentee as soon as possible.
    • Adhere to a 24-hour rescheduling policy to maintain respect for the mentee’s time.
  2. No-show policy:
    • Ensure clear communication if you are unable to attend a scheduled session. Repeated no-show incidents will be addressed by the QudwaTech team.
